Your Career at ACT

RBT Internship

Autism Consulting and Therapy (ACT) is proud to be named a 2025 Top Employer for Interns in Virginia. We are an education-focused workplace that provides meaningful training, mentorship, and career development for individuals passionate about working with children with autism.

At ACT, our interns don’t just gain experience—they build careers. Most go on to pursue their master’s degrees and become Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) within 2–3 years. ACT supports this journey by offering ongoing raises and professional development throughout your graduate studies.

As part of the internship, interns receive paid training to become Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)—paraprofessionals who work under the supervision of a BCBA. Training includes the required 40-hour online modules, classroom-style instruction with hands-on practice, and shadowing current RBTs and clients to develop practical, real-world skills.
